Online creative workshops

We encourage you to attend a creative workshop in-person if possible. We find it's the best way for you to discuss your application and get a feel of what it's like at Escape Studios. If affordability is an issue, we offer travel bursaries for applicants who meet certain criteria.

However, we recognise there are reasons why some applicants will not be able to attend in-person. If this is the case for you then please book your place below.

What to expect

  • Portfolio review (BA/MArt applicants)
You'll talk a tutor through your portfolio for 5-10 minutes. This is your chance to show off your creative skills and the work you're most proud of. Please submit your portfolio to the Admissions Team two weeks before your workshop.

  • 10-minute technical breakdown (BSc/MSci applicants)
A short group discussion on the effects, mechanics or animation in your favourite film/game/TV series. We suggest you present your ideas in slides with images. We're really interested in how you think and your passions.

  • Team exercise
Working in the creative industries is a team sport, so show us what a team player you are! We want to see how you work with your team, respond to feedback and present your ideas.

  • Get in the running for a scholarship (BA/MArt applicants)
Every portfolio we see will be considered for an industry selected scholarship.
