Sometimes things don't go as planned, whether you missed out on your desired offers or simply had a change of heart, UCAS Clearing offers a lifeline to secure a place at your desired institution. This guide addresses common questions about Clearing, helping you to understand the timeline to help you find the perfect course for you.

When does clearing start and end at Escape Studios? 

Clearing officially opens through UCAS on Friday 5th July, with most applicants securing a place on A Level results day, Thursday 15th August. Clearing at Escape Studios closes in September, however, spaces could fill up quickly.  

How can I apply through clearing? 

Head to our Clearing hub for more info and to apply. If your application is successful, you will need to add us as a choice in Clearing through UCAS.

Are there specific courses available through clearing at Escape Studios? / How do I know if a course has places available during clearing? 

The following courses are available through UCAS Clearing 2024. Courses with available places will be visible on UCAS.

Can I apply to multiple courses through clearing? 

No

What are the entry requirements to apply through clearing? 

Our minimum entry requirements are 32 UCAS points, alongside a portfolio of creative work. We take students who have the talent to succeed, and we know the best way to judge this is not necessarily by just a set of academic grades. Our tutors will review your portfolio to determine whether we can offer you a place.  

What should I put in my portfolio when applying through clearing?

How long does it take to get a decision on my clearing application? 

We will aim to review your portfolio and return a decision within two working days during Clearing.  

Can international students apply through clearing? 

International students who require a sponsored student visa in order to study our course should apply ahead of time, to ensure there is enough time to complete the visa process.
