Celebrating the Escape Studios class of 2025
On Tuesday 4th November 2025, we proudly celebrated the graduation of our brilliant Class of 2025 at the iconic Indigo at The O2 in London. This stunning venue provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with pride, joy, and inspiration, as family, friends, and staff came together to honour the creativity, dedication, and achievements of our graduates.
Over 800 attendees gathered to mark this milestone, celebrating students from across our disciplines - including Business, Animation, Creature Creation, Game Art, Technical Art, and VFX. The ceremony was a vibrant reflection of the Escape Studios spirit.
Graduates arrived early to don their gowns and pose for professional photos, with the venue glowing in our signature orange. In the afternoon, the ceremony began with a warm welcome from Anne Morrison, Chair of the Escape Studios Governing Body. This year’s ceremony was especially memorable as we awarded our very first Honorary Fellowship of Escape Studios to industry leader Tara Saunders. Her inspiring speech, set the tone for a day of celebration and reflection.
Degrees were formally conferred by Professor Ian Palmer, Principal of Escape Studios, as undergraduate and postgraduate students crossed the stage to applause and cheers from their loved ones and peers - each moment a testament to their hard work and growth.
We were thrilled to spotlight success stories like George Clarke, now an intern at Framestore Immersive. George shared:
“Despite joining Escape with zero 3D experience, the resources, support and guidance provided throughout my course allowed me to leave with a strong skill set, industry connections and an offer to intern at Framestore. Escape put me in the best possible position to create, collaborate and network with the industry and other students.”
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt speech from graduate Erica Sanches Simoes, who captured the essence of the Escape experience:
“Escape has a very special quality to it. It’s not just about passing grades - it’s about pushing us to our highest potential, supporting our passions, and helping us discover talents we never knew we had.”
Dan Lawson, Chief Operating Officer and Master of Ceremonies, reflected:
“The Escape Studios Graduation Ceremony is a reflection of our spirit - creative, bold, and community-driven. It’s always a joy to bring our students, staff, and families together to celebrate the achievements of our graduates. Hosting the event at the Indigo at The O2 was especially meaningful, as this cohort was the first to study at our new North Greenwich campus. Celebrating so close to home, in such an iconic venue, made the occasion even more special. The introduction of our Honorary Fellowship marks the beginning of a new tradition - one that celebrates excellence and honours those who uplift and inspire the next generation of creative talent.”

To the Class of 2025: you are now part of a global network of Escapees shaping the future of the creative industries. We can’t wait to see what you’ll do next. Congratulations.
