Toon Boom Harmony is a 2D Animation tool, allowing you to draw roughs, rig, composite and animate. As an Escape Studios student, you can access Toon Boom Harmony for a discounted price through the educational licenses. You can also download a 21-day free trial to try out before starting a course. Toon Boom Harmony is installed on our workstations as standard.

TVPaint is a 2D Animation tool based on bitmap technology. It offers custom brushes, a light table, a dual papers system and a range of transformation tools. As an Escape Studios student, you can access a discounted student license for TVPaint. TVPaint also offers a non-time-limited free trial version.

Autodesk Maya is a 3D animation and VFX toolset, allowing you to shape 3D objects with modelling tools, bring characters to life and create realistic effects. As an Escape Studios student, you can get free access to Autodesk Maya with the educational access programme. Autodesk Maya is installed on our workstations as standard. You can also access a free 30-day trial to try it out before starting a course.

Blender is a 3D creation application allowing you to model, sculpt, rig, animate and track objects. Blender is free, open-source software and is installed on our workstations as standard.

Houdini is a 3D VFX application, allowing you to create physically realistic objects such as pyro, water and liquids using their simulation tools.

SideFX offer a free version of Houdini, Houdini Apprentice, which comes with some restrictions. However, the same project files from Apprentice can be used with the Education edition (which is installed on our workstations) without those technical limitations. Houdini is installed on our workstations as standard.

Maxon ZBrush is a digital sculpting, modelling and painting tool, with a wide range of proprietary brushes and high-polygon capability to allow you to sculpt as though with clay. As an Escape Studios student, you can get discounted access to Maxon ZBrush through Maxon One Student. You can also access a 14-day free trial of Maxon One to try it out before starting a course.

Maxon Cinema 4D is an animation, modelling, simulation and rendering tool to make 3D workflows more efficient. As an Escape Studios student, you can get discounted access to Maxon Cinema 4D through Maxon One Student. You can also access a free 14-day trial of Maxon One to try it out before starting a course.

Adobe Photoshop is a photo editing tool, allowing you to remove parts of images, precisely select parts of images and finetune and improve your images. As an Escape Studios student, you would have discounted access to Adobe Photoshop through Adobe's Creative Cloud Pro for students. This programme is installed on our workstations as standard. You can also access a free 7-day trial to try it out before starting a course.

Adobe After Effects allows you to add motion graphics to any video project, and is often used to animate logos or characters. Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics application, allowing you to view designs from different angles, design with precision and fine-tune colours.
